Tarin’s Kim Koons speaks at ADOA Conference

Join Tarin Resources Kim Koons on Wednesday September 26 from 10:45 am – 11:45 am, where she will be speaking at the ADOA (Alberta Development Officers Association) conference about Using Geo-Spatial Data in a Collaborative workplace.

Here is a sneak peek of what you can expect to hear in the speech that Kim will be delivering at the conference:

“Who can deny that technology is evolving exceptionally fast these days? Or that how we conduct business is also being altered just as fast because of this technology. I was reading an article on Datanami.com, a news portal about emerging trends and solutions in big data (The Here and Now of Big Geospatial Data by Alex Woodie), and it struck me that the time and place aspect of big data also applies to our ever changing workplace culture. No matter how fast the change is, there is nothing that can replicate the combinations of these two unique concepts: time and place. Time and place relate to geospatial data, and time and place relate to how we work. That is why the place for using geospatial data collaboratively is here, and the time is now.”

This conference is being hosted at the Best Western Wayside Inn, in Wetaskiwin AB. The ADOA conference provides an opportunity for discussion, communication, and education for people seeking to further their development on certain topics and areas.
